Lab Exercises for Numerical Analysis and Simulation II: PDEs

Summerterm 2016

Organiser

Prof. Dr. Michael Günther

Dr. Karsten Kahl

Christian Hendricks, M.Sc.

Type

Lab exercises / Programmierpraktikum (2 SWS).

Target audience

The lab exercises are dedicated to participants of the lecture Numerical Analysis and Simulation II: PDEs.
For general information on lab exercises corresponding to the Master programme Mathematics, see the handbook (page 115).

Contents

The lab exercises include the implementation of methods, which are introduced in the lecture Numerical Analysis and Simulation II: PDEs.

Procedure

  • In total four programming exercises. To pass the course three out of the four exercises have to be implemented and presented successfully.
  • The exercises can be done in groups of 1-3 persons. Each group will present and explain their implementations at corresponding meetings. A list of possible dates will be provided for each lab exercise.
  • In order to provide assistance we offer office hours Wednesdays 13:00-16:00 in room G.14.01. (starting 11th May)
